Cyprus Company Formation Procedure

According to formation procedures, prior to a company’s establishment, permission from the Central Bank of Cyprus is required. As soon as the Central Bank of Cyprus grants permission the entity must be registered with the Registrar of Companies.

A minimum share capital of CYP 1,000 is requested by the Cyprus Companies Law, which is increased to CYP 10,000 in cases where the company will open an administrative office in Cyprus. At least one director is necessary and those may be Cypriot individuals or foreigners.

Also an individual or a secretarial office must be appointed. The registered office must be in Cyprus.
